The “50” Goldback is now Available!

The first batch arrived late on Friday. The “50” denomination is an incredible feat of engineering technology because up until 2019 the largest amount of gold in “Aurum” form was one gram and the 50 contains about 40% more than that. It feels heavy at 1/20th of an ounce. As per usual 50 denomination can be converted into lower denominations through the UPMA and lower denominations can be traded in for the 50.

Any collector of Goldbacks should be proud to have one of the 2019 “Fifty” Goldbacks as only about 2,000 of them are slated to be produced this year. It may end up being a bit of a collector item. The most impressive lady virtue “Liberty” was saved for the 50 and it includes several references to Utah’s history including the cougar and Deseret/1847 shield.
