Spend Goldbacks as often as possible.
You aren’t doing much good supporting sound money if you don’t actually try and use it. Once you’ve spent your Goldbacks then you can take the cash that you saved from doing so to resupply. By doing this you infuse your local economy with sound money while educating local vendors.
Goldback® are easy to spend at small businesses or with individuals. They are designed for this very purpose in jurisdictions where not legally prohibited. By spending Goldbacks, you are supporting your local economy, and you are educating people about using sound money along the way.
Tips for spending Goldbacks . . .
Be prepared to explain what a Goldback is in 30 seconds.
Try spending them where you can talk to the decision maker directly. (They won’t work at Costco, try a garage sale or a small businesses)
Goldback is a good resource for showing the average price.
Expect to have anywhere from a third to half of small businesses actually take Goldbacks as payment. You may be surprised at how many people are okay being paid in gold, even outside of the Goldback states.

Educate as many people as possible.
You meet people far more often than you might realize. Educating your network about sound money, by showing off the Goldback is a free way to get involved. Most people have not yet seen a Goldback.
Goldback Inc. only spends a small fraction of its budget on advertising, yet every Goldback that could possibly be produced is sold anyway. This is, in part because users are putting in the work to educate each other about sound money by word of mouth.
By carrying Goldbacks around with you and showing them to the people you encounter, whether they be strangers, or in your network, you can be a strong educational force. This can be done well even when you know that the person cannot actually accept the Goldback for whatever reason. (For example, the teller at the bank) Goldbacks make great conversation pieces as people love to look at the gold.

Give Goldbacks as a gift or a tip.
It can be difficult to find the right gift for someone. Goldbacks do extremely well as gifts in birthday or Christmas cards since they are so novel.
An easy way to instantly get someone interested in the Goldback is by giving one as a gift or a tip. They make great educational tools if nothing else, and a single Goldback is not very costly. It is likely that the receiver will show several people themselves. Statistically speaking, people will show on average about ten other people a product that they are interested in themselves. By gifting a few out, you are having an influence on more people than you may ever know.
Kids are especially great candidates for Goldback gifts as they will highly treasure them.

Get yourself a way to easily carry Goldbacks around.
Goldback Wallets are available in Brown and Black!
Find a way that is comfortable for carrying Goldbacks with you all the time. They don’t do much good in your safe at home when an opportunity to spend them or show them off arises.
Most women’s wallets will work fine as they don’t bend in half. There are also Goldback wallets like the one pictured on the left that are designed to carry Goldbacks.
It is better to not bend the Goldback in half as this will eventually wear them out. It costs over a thousand times more to produce the fifty Goldback denomination than it does to create the $100 bill. This means that it is up to you to keep the Goldbacks in as good as condition as possible.

Accept Goldbacks at your Business!
Goldback acceptance stickers are available free with any Goldback purchase from many distributors — Alpine Gold can help you get one.
There are people that would like to pay you in gold for the goods or services that you are providing. We are giving away stickers to anyone that asks — Contact. Also, many retailers will gift a sticker with a purchase.

Consider moving gold, silver, or cash savings into Goldbacks or a Goldback Lease.
Goldbacks may prove to be the best savings tool out there due to the divisible nature of the currency. From 2019 to 2023 Goldbacks actually significantly outperformed gold coins in appreciation vs. the dollar.
You may already own gold or silver as an inflation hedge or as a preparedness tool. The Goldback has increased in value more than or equal to other forms of gold so it makes sense to save with them. The Goldback is the most spendable gold in the world and it will likely suit your needs better in a barter situation than any other form of gold. A one ounce gold coin or bar is too valuable to purchase water bottles or whatever you may need someday. Many folks are upgrading their gold utility.

Request Goldbacks at your Local Coin Shop if they aren’t offered there yet.
Over 200 coin stores sell Goldbacks as of April 2021.
Goldbacks are beginning to be carried by more and more local coin stores and online retailers. Sometimes the coin store will approach us about making this possible. Other times we will approach them, every coin store that has agreed to carry Goldbacks has had multiple customers request them. Ultimately these business want to sell the types of precious metal that you want to buy so let them know if you are interested in seeing them carry Goldbacks. Coin stores qualify for wholesale pricing when they deal with us directly so have them reach out!
By getting Goldbacks into more coin shops more people will be introduced to the concept of easily spendable gold.
